The Merry Elves of Ecstasy is a novel about four young drug dealers who meet in Haight-Ashbury in the Summer of Love, 1967, and who try to enlighten the world by turning people on to psychedelic drugs. This endeavor put them at odds with the Establishment, so after establishing their identity in the Haight, the Merry Elves eventually found it necessary to flee San Franscisco and find new places to carry on the campaign.
