The SxS Refrigerator Ice Container stores ice in the freezer compartment for dispensing and comes with the auger that rotates to move the ice into the dispenser chute. This part is designed to be used with select washer brands, including Whirlpool®, Maytag® and Admiral®; check to see if your model number is compatible. When removing the ice maker container, be sure to lift the ice shut off arm up. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin.
